INTRODUCTION:

We wish you a good day to each and everyone. On Oct.1st, 2011, Mark Anthony Jacobson became the first native artist in Canadian history to launch and publish an authorized and official catalogue raisonne of his known artworks to date, preceding that of either Norval Morrisseau and the N.M.H.S. (The Norval Morrisseau Heritage Society). We extend a warm welcome to the many friends, collectors, researchers, galleries, museums and other institutions both educational and otherwise worldwide to this authorized resource on Mark Anthony Jacobson artworks. This database will offer and ensure impeccable pedigree for each piece of Jacobson art, will be an excellent source of security from forgeries and will guarantee the authenticity of your various Mark Anthony Jacobson artworks by offering solid provenance and documentation which is found throughout this catalogue.

There will be many updates to this catalogue raisonne over time. So far, we have found a wide variety of many hundreds of Jacobson artworks and there are still about 800 pieces which we hope will be found that date from 1987 to 2010 and will be added to this database. In the meantime, please feel free to browse the many paintings, drawings, prints and other media which the artist has created. This database will continue to grow with images and stories to his artworks from the past, to the present new updates of his latest works, and the future of newly discovered treasures. We thank you for expressing your interest in collecting, marketing, and educating yourselves about the art and legacy of one of Canada's most exciting shamanistic woodland artists. All our relations. NOTES
Here is the story: So, a Thunderbird shaman came from the west coast mountains embarking upon a return filled with creative ambition. You can say that a reunion was amidst amongst old souls that go way way back. Upon this visit, a revelation on many levels took place. Truth and reconciliation in the mightiness of the holy spirit of all creation, forever creating….and so it is. I stood on the new found shores of the forever extending Universe with my friend and his family. A shamans portrait one would suppose taken above the great Nanabijou as many understand it up there in Thunder Bay Ont. So, in deep contemplation we stood and seen a great vision, a vision to empompass this dynasty. From one generation to the next - the Hanley/Brandford family crest. Mother and father are protected and adopted into the Thunderbird clan, as the direct result of the gifts associated with my spirit name - Rainbow Thunderbird. The husband - Joey, offers his wife Elyssa, a gift from the branch of the tree of life and his 3 children Jacob, Presten and Scarlett. She, the mother has given birth to 3 boys named Saturday, Joey and Wondur. Miracle souls graced upon this planet as intelligent designs of spirit/life experience. Honored by the 4 blood moons this year of 2015, or better known as the tetrads, highly symbolic of marking such a significant time upon her, our mother earth. Thus the 6 fish represent portals into other worlds as symbolized by the transformative powers of water, old and wise "elder elemental wisdom spirit". The "teepee bones" you see were in my good chums back yard, a marker of time well spent in the Hanley household. Teachings and blessings were to be had and much wisdom for preparation for next plateau experience were shared. In the divine light of the grand architect, the most holy of creative powers…The Creator Spirit. All my relations, MAJ
